The Straw Farm’s firewood is made only from hardwoods to ensure high strength, high density, and low resin content. It is also well-seasoned to ensure that it’s dry and easy to light. Finally, we neatly wrap our firewood into bundles, which makes transportation simple and easy.
Our Christmas products include #1 grade Fraser firs ranging from 6 to 12 ft., wreaths, and garlands.

Millbrook, Alabama, is the largest city in Elmore County, with a population of around 16,000 people. Millbrook has a lot to offer and is known for many things, including annual events, historical sites, a good school system, YMCAs and other sports complexes, proximity to Montgomery, recreational parks, and a low crime rate.
It is probably most well-known for being home to the Alabama Wildlife Federation’s state headquarters, which is a part of the Lanark Estate. In addition to the AWF headquarters, this estate has an outdoor conservation education facility called the Alabama Nature Center, where anyone can receive relevant educational programs and events.
In addition to the Alabama Wildlife Federation and Alabama Nature Center, Millbrook has a fantastic Cultural Arts and Special Events Department. This department has many responsibilities, including organizing annual events, nourishing and enhancing the city’s landscape, and providing an outlet for creativity via an art studio, music studio, art gallery, workshops, and classes.
Some of the annual events that take place every year include the Millbrook Mardi Gras Festival and Parade, Tunes on the Green, Farmer’s Market, Outdoor Movie Night, May Fest, The Tree Lighting, The Annual Holiday Festival, The Annual Holiday Parade, Boo Festival, Memorial Day Observance, Patriot Day Gathering, and Veterans Day Ceremony.
The Millbrook Mardi Gras Festival and Parade is free to all with food trucks, arts and crafts, live music, and other entertainment. The parade starts every year at 12 p.m. in downtown Millbrook and showcases all the parade classics, from marching bands to floats.
Tunes on the Green is a free community concert that takes place at Village Green Park a few times a year to provide free live music for all. The Millbrook Farmers Market, located in downtown Millbrook, takes place every Tuesday from 7 am to 12 pm during May through August.
The Millbrook Memorial Day Observance consists of speakers and tributes to reflect on and honor those who have served our country. The Patriot Day Gathering is a similar event hosted on 9/11 to pay tribute to the lives lost on that tragic day. The Annual Veterans Day Ceremony is another way that Millbrook shows its appreciation for our troops and first responders, which is held at the Millbrook Civic Center, where there is a ceremony and luncheon.
Mayfest is an event designed to celebrate warm weather and community. This event is held annually at the Village Green Park in May from 9am to 2pm, where you can expect good food, live entertainment, and plenty of recreational activities.
The Boo Festival is a celebration of fall and Halloween. This is a free event that features the fall farmers market, live music, trunk or treating, hayrides, good music, and costume contests. This event is also held at Village Green Park and usually takes place from 10 am to 2 pm.
There are also several annual Christmas events, including The Tree Lighting, which includes storytelling, Santa, Christmas carols, and a live nativity scene; The Christmas Festival, which is held on the first Saturday of December each year and features live entertainment, arts and crafts, and holiday treats; The Holiday Parade, which is similar to the Mardi Gras Parade but Christmas-themed; and The Outdoor Movie Night, where we showcase Christmas movies and provide holiday snacks and treats like hot chocolate.
