We sell more than just straw! The Straw Farm also provides #1 grade Christmas Trees. Our fresh, Fraser fir trees have been hand-selected for top grade quality. Because all of our trees are #1 grade, that means they are generally free of defects with perfect shape and complete fullness in the branches. Typically, it is very hard to find #1 grade Christmas Trees at “Big Box” retailers, so come visit us here at The Straw Farm and experience the difference. Merry Christmas!!
Our Christmas trees come in many sizes. Our Fraser Fir Christmas trees range anywhere from 6 to 12 feet. In addition to our #1 grade Fraser firs, we also have 3–4 foot table-top trees available. These Christmas Trees are perfect for offices, bedrooms, table tops, mantles, and anywhere else you can imagine. When you order one of our 3–4 foot table-top Christmas trees, the stand is included so it’s ready to go as is. You can visit our Christmas store here for more information and online ordering.
There’s nothing quite like Christmas, and what would Christmas be without Christmas Trees? We want your holiday season to be perfect, so here are some ways to ensure that your Christmas Tree looks its best and stays fresh all the way through the new year (or Valentine’s Day…no judgment here).
Step 1: Buy a Christmas Tree from the Straw Farm
Step 2: Assess the potential risk of your tree being knocked over and adjust stand size accordingly. If you have no kids or pets, then a small stand will be just fine (unless your spouse is a klutz!). If you do have lots of kids and/or a chaotic house, we would recommend a larger stand for greater stability.
Step 3: Try to avoid putting your tree near heaters, vents, and direct sunlight as that can speed up the process of the tree drying out. It’s also a good idea to get Christmas lights that don’t produce too much heat.
Step 4: Make a 1/2″ cut at the base of your tree before putting it in the stand. The base of Christmas Trees tends to sap over, which limits the amount of water the tree can take in.
Step 5: Check your water daily. Some trees will be more thirsty than others, so just make it a daily habit to check. You will want to keep the water level above the base of the trunk.
If you follow these steps, especially the first one :), your Christmas Trees will stay healthy and last as long as you need them.
